Jewish Studies

In Jewish Studies, we had to learn about the responsibilities of a Bar/Bat Mitzvah, the son/daughter of the commandment. Tefillin, two leather boxes that contain scrolls of Torah Verses. Tallit, a garment that has two variations, Tallit Katan and Tallit Gadol. Tallit have fringes, or Tzitzit, which have 613 threads, representing the Mitzvot. Each Tzitzit has Tekhelet, a blue thread that comes from an animal with blue blood, known as the chilazon, which appears once every 70 years. These topics are very important for a standard Jew for sure.
